The side by side comparison of my first draft and my published version is available! Doing a draft study can be extremely beneficial to your overall growth as a writer. It can improve your craft as well as sharpen your critical eye. Unfortunately, there just arenโt many authors willing to put up their terrible first drafts. Iโm taking one for the team!

Part III includes a PDF of a scene near chapter 10 without my editor/author notes. This is to challenge you to think critically about the changes made and apply what youโve learned from parts I and II. I encourage you to print it out and practice โMarKingโ it up! Break out those highlighters and colored pens and have fun! Compare your notes with your writer friends. This is a great chance for an in depth conversation, growing your editor skills, and becoming more aware as a writer.
